The Mass is a wedding feast between you (the Church) and Jesus (the Bridegroom). It's important to treat it with reverence. (Click links for more info)

Do: 

• Fast for 1 hour before receiving communion
• Be on time
• Stay until the final blessing
• Genuflect to the tabernacle when entering & exiting your pew
• Participate - Mass sections can be found in the missal and hymns in the red hymnal
• Prepare your non-Catholic friends - make sure they feel welcome and they know to cross their arms at communion time
• Go to confession before receiving communion 

• Disturb others with loud or continuous talking
• Wear overly revealing clothes
• Use your phone during Mass

Lector: This is the person who reads and says the prayers of the faithful.
Eucharistic Minister: This person helps distribute communion.
Usher: These people help make sure people feel welcome at Mass, and they help guard the Eucharist during communion.
Server: Altar servers help Mass run smoothly by being an extra set of hands for Father Mark. 
Cantor/Choir: Cantors lead the singing at Mass and choir members provide the music.
