Adoration Etiquette
Adoration is a time of quiet prayer with Jesus, who is exposed for worship on the altar. Extra care and reverence is taken in the church at this time.
- When Jesus is placed in the monstrance, the congregation kneels and sings the exposition hymn. After a moment, one can resume a comfortable prayer position.
- It is typical to genuflect with both knees when entering your pew while Jesus is exposed, instead of the typical one-knee genuflection to the closed tabernacle.
- Try not to leave the room with your back to Jesus on the altar, using the side aisles for movement.
- During the Blessing (Benediction) at the end of the time, one should refrain from moving and be kneeling if possible.

- Sunday: 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM before 5pm Mass
- Tuesday: 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM *during academic year only
